We love the city of St. Charles by mentoring impoverished families, individuals, and at-risk youth.
We Love St. Charles (WLSC) is a non-profit organization that loves the city of St. Charles by mentoring impoverished families, individuals, and at-risk youth through family support and intervention, homeless prevention, and job training. Since 2010 WLSC founder Marc Sikma and fellow stakeholders have been adapting to and responding to the visible needs of the community through various means of support.
Currently WLSC is aiming to love a city with a poverty rate which exceeds that of its neighbors, St. Peters and St. Louis County, which is home of at least 928 homeless individuals, and whose high schools are experiencing an increase in dropout rates. This has spurred WLSC to develop and implement programs aimed to build long-term mentoring relationships with participants, by utilizing resources, training, and mentoring to lead clients away from relying on crisis care to lives that contribute and thrive in St. Charles.
Although WLSC is physically located on West Clay Street in St. Charles Missouri, the 501©3 mobilizes volunteers throughout the city in order to help fulfill client needs, build relationship, show love, and, if applicable, guide into one of our programs. Programs include: Youth Mentoring, Walking With A Family, Coaching & Counseling for Change and Resume & Interview Training. We are appealing to you to come on board as Friends to the Community by entering into one of our financial giving levels. Your gifts will help us lead individuals to full financial and emotional restoration, by helping to fund our program costs, capital, and client needs. .
Thank you for Supporting We Love St. Charles!
