We are getting geared up for our last Buildin' Bunkz day of the year on October 10! Every bunk is composed of a kit so you don't need to be an expert builder...you just need a heart to serve. We'll deliver and assemble 20 more bunks that nite to students in 63301 who do not have an adequate place to sleep.

Our 5th annual Backpack & Pool Party is coming up on July 29th from 6-9pm at Blanchette Pool. Last year, we were able to distribute over 350 backpacks full of school supplies to children whose families struggle to provide this basic requirement!
Enjoy a delicious bbq dinner, free swimming, DJ on site, fireworks and ice cream. There will also be a Clothing Closet on site for families to acquire needed supplies.

We are excited to share with you our new Buildin' Bunkz Initiative launched in collaboration with Care to Learn St. Charles and the St. Charles City School District. We are building and delivering bunk beds, mattresses, and bedding for children living in poverty and sleeping on the floor.
On May 10th, 2017 all district 6th graders from Jefferson will be helping assemble beds, and put together the packages of bedding to be delivered as a whole-class community service day.
The beds are completely FREE, but, there are 4 requirements for applying:
- children must live within the St. Charles City School District
- families must have a minimum of 2 children living within the home
- fall within certain income requirements (below 60% of the poverty line)
- children must be in a compromised sleeping arrangement
But we need your help! We have created an online application that is available here or on our website for potential recipients to complete by May 9th, 2017 and we are asking that you to send this out to any families in the district who may be interested in applying and meets these requirements.
The Christmas Store is an event where St. Charles families experiencing financial hardship can come and purchase new gifts for their children for Christmas for 10% of the retail value. Families are referred to Serve St. Charles through the school district. This event allows for families to feel pride in taking ownership of the gifts for their children without putting themselves in a financial bind. Through our donors and volunteers, we are able to serve over 350 kids per year. Use the buttons below to serve at the event or donate items for the store. If you'd like to drop off your donation with us, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
On October 14, at The City of St. Charles Police Department, We Love St. Charles & the City of St. Charles will serve and show appreciation to the first responders of the city through a catered lunch and appreciation ceremony.
